What Is A Healthy Portion For Meat?

Healthy Cancer Diets Include Fresh Fruits and Veggies

Q: What is a healthy portion for meat?

A: According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, a "standard" serving size for meat is approximately 3 ounces cooked or 4 ounces raw. Limiting meat and other animal protein to 1/3 of each meal is recommended as a rule of thumb for a "healthy" portion.
