The Moffitt Merit Society® connects women committed to taking action against cancer. This women-in-leadership and philanthropy group of Moffitt Cancer Center supports and advocates for prevention, treatment, research and education related to cancers affecting women.
The group is galvanizing women throughout Tampa Bay and across Florida to raise awareness and funds so that no mother, daughter, sister or friend loses her life to cancer.
The Moffitt Merit Society honors Merit Ptah, the first known woman in medicine nearly 5,000 years ago. Today, Moffitt Cancer Center proudly carries on her legacy through our female physicians and scientist who are leaders in cancer research and patient care. Their skills, achievements and compassionate care reflect a deep commitment toward providing hope and improving quality of life for those whose lives are touched by cancer.
