More than 100,000 people will be diagnosed with cancer in Florida in the coming year *. As an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center, Moffitt serves more newly-diagnosed cancer patients that any other facility in the state.
At Moffitt, cancer patients are evaluated by a team of highly specialized surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and other clinicians who prepare a personalized plan to guide each patient through the full continuum of cancer care. This Total Cancer CareTM approach enables care-givers and researchers to identify and meet all the needs of a patient and their family during the patient’s lifetime.
Moffitt has established many clinical, research, and education partnerships around the state that support Florida’s reputation for excellence in healthcare, cancer research and personalized medicine.
Moffitt also collaborates with academic institutions and other research partners, elevating Florida’s national prominence in biotechnology, translational research and personalized medicine. These research partners may collaborate on research in epidemiology, molecular biology, immunology, drug discovery, gene-based technologies and more.
