Moffitt's Newest Campus
The search for a cure takes us down many paths. The latest is a new campus near International Plaza. The location gives Bay Area patients better access to the latest treatments and technology, while giving our team more resources focused on preventing and defeating cancer.
Dr. Jane Messina
You can usually find Dr. Jane Messina in 1 of 2 places: behind a microscope, or out screening beachcombers & baseball fans for skin cancer as director of Mole Patrol®. In both cases, she's putting her passion for saving lives to work, beating melanoma 1 patient at a time.
Jackie's Melanoma Story
As a young African-American woman, Jackie never dreamed the lump she found might be melanoma. After being misdiagnosed and then told it would be a miracle if she survived 5 years, she came to Moffitt. Today, she is cancer free and pursuing a Ph.D. at Syracuse University.
