Venessa Rivera-Colón, MEd
Venessa Rivera-Colón currently works at Moffitt Cancer Center as the Coordinator for M-POWER, Moffitt Program for Outreach Wellness Education and Resources, providing cancer prevention education and services to underserved community members. She has extensive experience in community outreach, working with diverse populations including rural farm workers, non-English speakers and urban communities. She has held positions with Redlands Christian Migrant Association, Pennsylvania's Health and Human Services Call Center, and community health clinics.
She received her master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Community Health from Penn State University. In 2005, she received the Outstanding Health Educator Award at Penn State Harrisburg for developing a wellness program for Latinas.
