Who Qualifies For R.E.N.E.W.?

All cancer survivors who have completed initial therapy are encouraged to sign up for R.E.N.E.W. 180.

How Much Does it Cost?

R.E.N.E.W. 180 is partly subsidized by the Lance Armstrong Founation and Moffitt Cancer Center to allow more affordable pricing. Cost of the program is $180. This includes all group and individual sessions, a participant guide, and a pedometer. Payment plans are available.

How Does R.E.N.E.W. 180 Work?

R.E.N.E.W. 180 sessions are designed to be fun, interactive and motivating with a positive approach toward a healthy lifestyle. You will receive three individual sessions with a registered dietitian and 12 group sessions (every two weeks for six months). Sessions will include: 

  • Nutrition for Cancer Risk Reduction
  • Exercise Guidelines
  • Behavior Change Strategies

 Sample topics for group sessions range from "Dining Out Without Busting Out" to "Fitting In Fitness" and "Deciphering Food Labels." The group sessions are led by a team of registered dietitians, a licensed physical therapist, a social worker, and a licensed psychologist.

Why Should I Join This Program?

After finishing cancer treatment, many patients want to know what their "next step" is. Our surveys show that many wish to take a proactive approach to care and have a strong desire to take back control of their lives. The R.E.N.E.W. 180 program was established with these goals in mind: education, practice and the support to make changes towards a healthy lifestyle.
