What is Moffitt Healthy KIDZ Program?

Moffitt Healthy KIDZ is an innovative healthy education program for children ages 3-6 years of age, offered by Moffitt Cancer Center since July 2008. Moffitt Healthy KIDZ takes a holistic approach and provides theme-based healthy lifestyle education. The program is guided by the philosophy that "prevention starts early."

Moffitt Healthy KIDZ has provided this curriculum to more than 1,000 children from the Hillsborough County Head Start/Early Head Start Centers, Schools and the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library Coopoerative.

 Moffitt Healthy KIDZ teaches the importance of:

Making healthy food choices

Daily exercise

Sun protection

Living a tobacco-free life

Health Literacy at public libraries

Empowering a new generation of health leaders

Moffitt Healthy Kids Program also offers Moffitt Student Tours and Tobacco Education for grades Pre-K to 12th.
