Patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals and all those with a stake in the battle against cancer are encouraged to participate in Moffitt Day in Tallahassee on January 18, 2012. Moffitt Day offers several opportunities to raise awareness of Moffitt's statewide efforts to combat cancer.
Speak Out for Moffitt
Travel to Tallahassee with other Moffitt supporters on January 18, 2012, to make the case for increased government funding for cancer research. Share your story in personal meetings with state legislators. Transportation and meals are provided to all participants, along with a personalized itinerary of meetings with lawmakers, and all the information you’ll need to raise awareness. Cure on Wheels Cyclists Ride from Tampa to Tallahassee
A contingent of cyclists from the Cure on Wheels organization will complete a three-day, 300-mile trek in the Florida State Capitol Courtyard at noon on Moffitt Day, January 18, 2012. The mission of the journey – called the Capitol Ride – is to raise funds and awareness for the battle against cancer. Reception and Other Moffitt Day Activities
The Moffitt Day event also includes displays in the Capitol Rotunda from 9 am to 3 pm, and a catered reception with Florida legislators on the 22nd Floor of the Capitol Building from 5 -7 pm.
