Biographical Information

NancyJohnson1_small.jpgNancy Johnson is the Supervisor of Strategic Media and Marketing Development at Moffitt Cancer Center. In her role, she combines communications with strategy to build Moffitt’s brand and drive business results. She leads the team that produces the organization's television and video programs and serves as the executive producer of Moffitt Headline News, the monthly newscast on the Web. Nancy collaborates with Moffitt’s agency on marketing strategy and execution for television and interactive advertising campaigns. She’s also part of the team that places news stories in local, statewide and national media.

Before joining Moffitt, Nancy's was a familiar face on the local news. She reported for WTSP-TV, the CBS affiliate in Tampa Bay. She received two Emmy nominations and won numerous Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists awards for news reporting and writing. The Chicago native completed her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She recently graduated from the MBA program at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Nancy is a member of the National Association for Female Executives and the National Black MBA Association. Also, she contributes to civic and community projects as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

When she’s not at the office, you can usually find her curled up with a good book and a cup of cocoa at Barnes & Noble or Borders. If she’s not there, she’s likely dining at The Cheesecake Factory or Lee Roy Selmon’s.
