Shivakumar Vignesh, MD
Dr. Vignesh completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Yale University School of Medicine with a focus on ERCP and therapeutic endoscopy. He was a faculty member in the Division of Gastroenterology at Yale for three years. He then completed an advanced fellowship in Endoscopic Ultrasound & Advanced Endoscopy at the Medical University of South Carolina, training under Drs. Peter Cotton and Robert Hawes. Prior to coming to Moffitt, Dr. Vignesh served as the Director of Endoscopic Ultrasound, Therapeutic Endoscopy at M.S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Penn.
Dr. Vignesh performs all therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including the following:
- EUS-guided FNA for Pancreas, hepatobiliary tumors
- Endoscopic Mucosal resection for Barrett’s Dysplasia, submucosal lesions and large colon polyps
- Barrx HALO (RF ablation) for Barrett’s Esophagus with dysplasia
- EUS-guided Celiac Plexus block and neurolysis
- EUS for mediastinal staging of lung cancer
- ERCP, Esophageal, enteral and colonic stent placement
- EUS-guided Fiducial Marker placement
- Photodynamic Therapy for Bile Duct Cancer
