Christine Laronga, MD, FACS
Dr. Laronga is a surgical oncologist and Chief of the Comprehensive Breast Program at Moffitt Cancer Center. Her clinical and research interests include proteomics of breast cancer (protein profile generation for earlier detection via a blood test), nipple sparing mastectomy, racial disparities, and lymphedema.
Dr. Laronga received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she also completed a research fellowship and residency in general surgery before completing a surgical oncology fellowship at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center specializing in clinical/basic science research. She is board certified in general surgery and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Society of Surgical Oncologists, and the American Association for Cancer Research.
