David was concerned when he was told he had throat cancer, but when he found out it was caused by HPV - the virus responsible for most cervical cancers in women - he got the shock of his life. His throat cancer treatment at Moffitt has made him cancer-free and he is now a passionate advocate for the Oral Cancer Foundation and HPV awareness, and has taken his case to vaccinate boys against the virus all the way to the state Capitol.
Watch as he tells his story in his own words.
