Colorectal Cancer Screenings and Prevention
Why Do It?
Colorectal cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in both men and women, and the second most common cause of death from cancer. The chance of developing colorectal cancer in your lifetime is 1 in 20. Screening can prevent the great majority of colorectal cancers and save lives… perhaps yours.

How Does Colorectal Screening Save Lives?
Screening is widely believed to save lives by detecting cancer at an early stage when it is often curable. The greater benefit of colorectal cancer screening, however, is that cancer can be prevented by finding and removing adenomatous polyps, which are the benign growths from which most cancers arise.
