Acupuncture is safe, painless, and effective. Originating from China more than 2,000 years ago,
acupuncture is the insertion of thin, disposable, sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate the nervous system to release certain chemicals in the brain. The improved balance and energy can help stimulate the body's natural healing, relieving many physical symptoms and promote well-being.

Acupuncture is available to Moffitt patients by appointment on a fee for service basis, and is provided by a medical doctor who is Board Certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and has completed specialized training in acupuncture in China and the United States.
